Six Years of Storytelling: The Sripada Studios Journey

Six Years of Storytelling: The Sripada Studios Journey

Two guys. Two resignation letters. Zero backup plan. That's how this starts. Phani and Satish walked out of their 9-to-5s six years ago with nothing lined up — just a stubborn, slightly reckless belief that a good story beats a safe paycheck every time. No investor deck. No "5-year strategy." Just two friends, a camera, and the kind of energy that makes people around you go "wait, you're doing WHAT?"

The Journey So Far

So they made short films. Scrappy ones. Low-budget, high-heart. And on the side, they started shooting events — weddings, launches, whatever needed a camera and someone who actually cared about capturing the moment instead of just recording it.

Then it hit them: a story is only as good as the place it lives in. So — websites. Not because a spreadsheet told them to, but because what's the point of a great story if nobody can find it? And once people started showing up, obviously the next move was making sure they stuck around — hello, social media and brand storytelling.

Here's the twist though — it all looped right back to film. Because turns out, once you've been a filmmaker, you never stop being one. They started helping other people's films find their audience too — and honestly, who better to market a film than people who've actually made one?

Through every pivot, every "let's just try it" moment — one thing never budged: they weren't chasing deliverables. They were chasing the feeling of doing it right. And people notice that. Every single time.

Fast forward six years, and it's not just two guys with a camera anymore. It's a whole crew of people who looked at a half-baked idea and said "yeah, I see it too" — and stuck around to build it.

The Story Isn't Finished

These days that same energy shows up in a few different places. Buzziwah is the digital marketing side of things — the brand storytelling, the campaigns, the "let's make this actually mean something" work. Nearby Studio is the creative space where ideas get shot, built, and brought to life. And Prabhava? That's the film promotion and PR arm — the part that goes full circle back to where it all began, helping movies find their audience the way Phani and Satish always wished someone would help theirs.

And the story's not done adding chapters. Two more are already brewing — Tilko, an upcoming space for online courses in digital marketing and cinema, because why keep everything they've learned to themselves? And Pop Angadi, stepping into merchandise, because a good story deserves more than just a screen to live on.

Six years in, and this still feels like day one energy. Here's to whatever comes next being just as unplanned and just as fun.
