Job description: Website Developer

Location: Bengaluru

Job Type: Full-time (2 months probation / internship)

Role Description

Sripada Studios is hiring a talented and experienced Website Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to our company’s & client’s brief and specifications. The developer will work closely with our design and marketing teams to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Development: Create and maintain websites using modern web technologies such as WordPress, Shopify, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Backend Development: Develop backend services and APIs using languages such as PHP, Python or Java.
  • Database Management: Design and manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance. Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases is required.
  • Responsive Design: Ensure websites are fully responsive and optimized for various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Test and ensure the website works across different browsers and devices.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Content Management Systems (CMS): Develop and manage websites using CMS platforms such as WordPress or Shopify.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor website performance, uptime, and other operational metrics, and optimize loading speeds and performance.
  • Security Practices: Implement website security measures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and marketing teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and any modifications for future reference.

Requirements

  1. Education: Any Degree – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role, with a portfolio of completed projects.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular
    • Strong understanding of back-end development using PHP, Python, or Java.
    • Experience with database management: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress.
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
  2. Familiarity with web hosting environments and cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  3. Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, or Sketch.
